The team of NUM opened an interdisciplinary research laboratory for Image Processing and figuring out the simulation within the project

“Enhancing education programs in Arts and Humanities via European STEM methods and tools /ARTEST” /618802-EPP-1-2020-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP/ project of the ERASMUS+ CBHE program supported by the European Union is being implemented by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (DETE) and the Department of Anthropology and Archeology (DAA) of the National University of Mongolia are cooperating in this project.

Furthermore, within the framework of the project, the Master’s Program in Archeology of NUM is being carried out to prepare researchers with the skills to convert artifacts into digital information, and image processing.

Within the framework of the project, an interdisciplinary laboratory for image processing and figuring out the simulation is being established at NUM, and the laboratory was launched on November 30, 2022.

At the opening of the laboratory, the director of School of Engineering and Applied Science  D. Byambajav, the Head of the Cooperation Department D. Badamdash, the head of DAA, Professor U. Erdenebat, associate Professor Ts. Turbat, associate professor Ch. Amartuvshin, associate professor of DETE Ch. Lodoiravsal, project leader and associate professor S.Otgontsetseg, students, and project team members, as well as professors from both departments, participated.
