On October 8th, 2024, as part of the Erasmus+ ARTEST project student exchange activities, two engaging lectures were delivered to both European exchange students and Mongolian students at the National University of Mongolia.<\/p>\n

Jargalan Burentogtokh, a senior lecturer at the National University of Mongolia, presented a lecture titled “Archaeology as a Science”. He explored the foundations of archaeology, discussing its role as a scientific discipline, the evolution of archaeological methods, and the impact of modern technologies on advancing archaeological research.<\/p>\n

Raissa Garozzo, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Catania, delivered a lecture entitled “Digital Approaches to Heritage Conservation”. She highlighted the critical importance of digitizing cultural heritage, focusing on techniques used to digitally preserve museum collections and heritage sites. Her lecture emphasized how digital technologies not only help in safeguarding heritage for future generations but also enhance access to and engagement with cultural resources globally.<\/p>\n
