The Digital Humanities master’s program development workshop of the ARTEST (Enhancing education programs in Arts and Humanities via European STEM methods and tools) international project funded by the European Union was successfully organized on September 25-29, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

More than 40 representatives from 6 countries participated in this international workshop. On the first two days, the training and seminar for the capacity building of teachers and staff was held in room 805 of the 8th building of MUST in a hybrid setup (in-person and virtual) and the following topics were presented sharing the good experiences in the field of digital humanities:<\/span><\/p>\n

\nApplication of computing and technology in the cultural domain \/Assistant Prof. Angeliki Antoniou (PhD), University of the Peloponnese\/<\/span>
\nDigitalization of cultural heritage, Digital survey training \/Postdoctoral researcher Raissa Garozzo (PhD), University of Catania\/<\/span>
\nHolistic digital cultural heritage documentation for monuments, sites, and museums: A new approach for the #MemoryTwin \/Prof. Marinos Ioannides (PhD), Cyprus University of Technology\/<\/span><\/p>\n

On the third and fourth days of the workshop, in order to study the valuable historical and cultural heritage of Mongolia, we visited the “Chinggis Khan” museum and the “Aryaabal” monastery. We exchanged ideas on how to cooperate in the field of digital humanities.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the fifth day of the workshop, we held a meeting with the staff of the Mongolian National Center for Cultural Heritage and discussed how to digitize and preserve valuable historical and cultural artifacts in a new and advanced way.<\/span><\/p>\n
